Social media is a huge part of everyday life now. Most people check their phones constantly throughout the day, sometimes without even realizing it. Platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat make it really easy to see what everyone else is doing all the time. While social media can be fun and entertaining, it also has a big impact on how people see themselves and their lives. One thing I’ve noticed is how much social media creates comparison. When you scroll through your feed you’re usually seeing the best parts of people’s lives. Vacations, new clothes, perfect photos, exciting things they are doing. But what we don’t see is everything behind the scenes. Nobody posts the boring days or the stressful moments.
